SOLIDARITY ACADEMY 2017 - graduates’ follow-up!

SOLIDARITY ACADEMY 2017 - graduates’ follow-up!

Gdansk, 2-6th October 2017

One of the main aim of the Solidarity Academy 2017 is not only to extend the network of cooperation, but also to deepen, strengthen and enrich the pool of young ambitious and sensitive journalists we have gathered during all 5 editions of the new form of the Solidarity Academy. As we emphasized many times - dialogue and cooperation beyond a broadly understood concept of borders is essential to meet the challenges of modern times. This is why we are trying to put a special emphasis on the Solidarity Academy Graduation Programme, which is conceived as a space of exchange, cooperation and new initiatives.
This year we would like to propose a special edition of the Solidarity Academy dedicated to the current graduates of the Academy. This time we invite to join those of you who combine journalistic craftsmanship with different kind of activism. We are looking for five graduates, who would like to discuss (and create) possible forms of activity that respond to the main challenges of the media today.
At the workshops and meetings held during this year’s edition, graduates will have the opportunity to meet inspiring journalists-activists, discuss important journalist/activism issues and create new initiatives. Together they will also prepare workshops/meetings for the local young journalists and create a map of potential journalist’s actions and initiatives that can serve as inspiration for other media actors.
