ECS na dorocznym spotkaniu przedstawicieli Instytutów Kultury Polskiej i polskich dyplomatów odpowiedzialnych za kulturę na całym świecie.
02.11.2008Europejskie Centrum Solidarności 30.10.08 zaprezentowało swój dotychczasowy dorobek i przyszłe projekty podczas Konferencji Dyplomacji Publicznej i Kulturalnej w Gdańsku. Konferencja to doroczne spotkanie przedstawicieli Instytutów Kultury Polskiej i polskich dyplomatów odpowiedzialnych za kulturę na całym świecie. Co roku spotkania odbywają się w innym mieście. Tym razem - goście przyjechali do Gdańska. Miejsce Konferencji było nieprzypadkowe i symboliczne - uczestnicy spotkania zaproszeni zostali do mieszczącego się na terenie Stoczni Gdańskiej Instytutu Sztuki Wyspa.
The conference participants comprised the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs outlets responsible for Poland's broadly defined promotional activity. The meeting served the purpose of discussing the priority areas in the public and cultural promotion domain and primarily was an opportunity to share experiences with domestic institutions and partners of Polish institutions in the area of public diplomacy and cultural and scientific promotion abroad.
During their visit to Gdansk, the participants of the meeting familiarised themselves with the already completed projects of the European Solidarity Centre and with the plans of the events and projects to be implemented over the next few months. They also had an opportunity to listen to the presentations given by other institutions involved in the Pomerania region in the organisation and promotion of important anniversaries falling due during the next year - the 20th anniversary of the fall of communism and political system transformations in Central and Eastern Europe and the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of WWII and the symbolic role of Gdańsk in these events.
